Occasionally the Blackmar-Diemer gambit appears again and again, even on ICCF: a theme tournament took place from Nov. 15th 2006 till Jan. 6th 2009:

Wow, with 3 IMs, under them the well-known Swiss BDG combatant Walter Trumpf, and even our godfather Timothy E. Sawyer!
